About me

As a Senior Software Engineer, I apply my expertise in React, TypeScript, and Python to build high-performance and scalable web applications for the financial sector. I'm a Senior Software Engineer at DeepL where I help develop and maintain all of our integrations. Before that, I ran a consultancy with a couple of friends where the software we build helps handle several billions in Assets Under Management. I recently sped up deployments by 90% and introduced automated testing for a trading firm, increasing their confidence with their systems and giving us accolades. I moved from India to the UK to work at Meta, where I was part of the WhatsApp Support Engineering team, where we built systems that handled over 150,000 support tickets daily from 2.6 billion users worldwide, using a sophisticated automation engine. However, my journey hasn't been easy - I've also faced a couple of layoffs during the turbulent post-pandemic market. However, this has given me the opportunity to perfect an interview and job application strategy to land any role out there! Additionally, I recently received the UK Global Talent Visa in recognition of my work in the digital-technology sector here in the UK. These experiences, along with knowing how it's to come from a "tier-3" university, allow me to provide real advice which works.
