About me
I came to Washington DC on a full scholarship to pursue Masters of Science in Foreign Service at Georgetown University, ranked the world's best institution for International Affairs. This is made possible through the prestigious McHenry Fellowship, and it is truly an honour to become the first Indian recipient of it.
Additionally, I have received two full scholarship offers from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (MSc - International Relations) and GeorgiaTech, Atlanta, USA (MS - International Affairs, Science and Technology). I have also received several partial scholarships and admissions to prestigious institutions from the world over, including Harvard, Princeton, Oxford, Carnegie Mellon and SOAS, University of London.
I graduated from Shiv Nadar University as the Valedictorian of the class of 2022, majoring in Engineering alongside a minor degree in International Relations. I was also the founder and president of Global Madras, India’s first student-led think tank from the state of Tamil Nadu which analyses International Relations from subnational perspectives. I also won the ‘Young Diplomat 2021’ scholarship to attend a summer school based in The Hague, Netherlands. In my various capacities, including as a social impact facilitator and advisor to an Hon’ble Member of Parliament, I have effectively leveraged technology to address global challenges that transcend national borders. My ultimate goal is to embed foreign policies at grassroots levels of governance to achieve the United Nations' sustainable development goals.
As a first-generation student hailing from a small town, I’m profoundly aware of the significance of networks and the lack thereof. It is especially crucial when it comes to making life-changing decisions, like founding a start-up, applying to your dream job, pivoting from one field to another, or deciding what (and where) to study further. I hope, from my experience, I could be a practical guide, mentor or even a sounding board to test the boldness of your ideas.
