Non-Generative AI architectures, specifically Joint-Embedding Predictive Architectures (JEPA), Energy-Based Models (EBMs), and Self-Supervised Learning (SSL).

Consultation Areas

• Research direction and methodology. Helping students pick viable topics, frame research questions, choose appropriate architectures or baselines, and design experiments that hold up to scrutiny.
• Technical implementation. Reviewing or debugging ML/DL code, fixing training instability, advising on model selection, preprocessing pipelines, evaluation metrics, and result interpretation.
• Paper writing and structure. Reviewing drafts, tightening arguments, fixing how results are presented, improving figures and tables, and making sure the paper reads like it came from someone who knows what they're doing.
• Literature review guidance. Helping students identify relevant prior work, understand where their contribution fits, and avoid the common mistake of citing papers they haven't actually engaged with.
• Experiment design and validation. Advising on proper ablation studies, statistical testing, cross-validation, and how to make results reproducible and credible.
• Journal and conference targeting. Knowing which venues (Scopus, IEEE, Springer, etc.) a paper realistically fits, what reviewers in those venues care about, and how to frame contributions accordingly.
• Data Engineering Handling specialized or unstructured data. Building custom scrapers for research data.
• Deployment (Add-on). Visualizing research for a "Live" defense. Converting your research model into a functional API.
• Thesis and project consultation. Guiding final-year students through capstone or thesis projects end-to-end, from topic selection to final submission readiness.
