👋 Hi! I'm Ahsan. I'm currently a graduate student at the University of Oxford reading for an MSc in Evidence Based Social Intervention & Policy Evaluation. My thesis, a systematic review with Dr Michael Fanner, focuses on stigma concerning suicide in the global south. 🎓 Previously, I graduated from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan's top-ranked university, in June 2022. I graduated with a High Distinction, with a major in Economics and a minor in English Literature. I've worked as both, a teaching assistant and a research assistant at LUMS. 🌍 I'm on a simple mission to help people at the margins live an easier life. We all get one life, and we can choose to either work towards adding to our own wealth, or share a bit, and fight for others to have a seat at the table. I aspire to be the latter. I have previously worked and interned at organizations such as The Citizen's Archive, Pakistan (CAP), The Citizen's Foundation (TCF), and Akhuwat Microfinance (Parwaaz), and am informally involved at the Legal Aid Society (LAS). 📚 My research at the Legal Aid Society focused on three thematic areas: (a) forecasting the potential for Alternative Dispute Resolution in Sindh, (b) Women's Right to Legal Matrimonial Property and Social Security, and (c) Religious Minority interventions & Blasphemy Law.
