I moved to Berlin from India in the middle of the CoVid pandemic in November 2020, feeling lost and heartbroken. I left behind a failed long-term relationship and a failed start-up. My self-belief was at an all-time low. However, over the past 3 years I've worked hard to build a life that brings me joy and satisfaction. I am immensely grateful that I have been able to make a career switch and align my professional life with my larger aspirations, find a well-paying job that allows for a good work-life balance, meet the love of my life, get engaged to him, and reach B2 level in German so that I can make friends in the language. While I feel blessed, I've also struggled with my mental and physical health along the way. I couldn't have created the life I wanted without the support of those around me. Now that I have been through this process, I want to give back, especially to other women of colour like me who are daring to change their lives or embark on new adventures!
