What is the Family Income, Composition, property and asset documents?

These are the documents needed for fully funded regional scholarships in Italy. Italy has over 30 fully funded regional scholarships ( Note: some are managed directly by the various universities increasing the number of scholarships)

NOTE 1:

Local students can access these regional scholarships (focused on promoting right to higher education:Diritto allo studio) by submitting ISEE ( The ISEE is an indicator of the economic condition of the family unit of the student and it is issued by the INPS for those with income and assets in Italy) to the CAF office affiliated to the particular regional scholarship for the calculation of ISEEU ( The actual document which gives access to university scholarship to local students)

NOTE 2:

Foreign or International Students: As these students do not have family who reside and make income in Italy, they are required. to provide the family Income, assets, composition and property documents for the CAF offices affiliated to the particular regional scholarship they are applying to to calculate the ISEEU equivalent which is called ISEEUP ( ISEE Universitario Parificato) . These documents help the authorities to know the economic condition of the student and assign the right benefits to him/her.

NOTE 3: Foreign students with family both in and outside Italy will need both the local document (ISEE) of their family within Italy together with the foreign documents ( Family Income, Composition, Assets and Property ) of their family outside Italy for the calculation.

VERY IMPORTANT: Foreign students are to get these documents from the authorities in their homecountries and not compile it themselves ( due to many students forging and making false declarations). Also, the year for which the documents will be needed on are always mentioned in the yearly regional scholarship call documents. Eg: by precedence, LazioDisco ( the regional scholarship for universities like Sapienza, Cassino, Tor vegata. etc in the Lazio region usually ask students to provide 2 years prior Income and property documents. In 2024, students were asked to provide documents for 2022. In the Emilia Romagna region however where the regional scholarship is ER.Go featuring universities like Bologna, Parma, Ferrara etc, students are usually asked to provide Income and property documents of the year prior eg: in 2024, students were asked to provide documents covering 2023.
