Aditya is an LL.M. Candidate at the Columbia Law School (Class of '24) with a focus on corporate, finance and securities laws. He is also the recipient of the merit based Dean’s Scholarship Award for the academic year. Prior to joining CLS, he worked in the General Corporate Team at Khaitan & Co (a Tier-1 full service Indian law firm). During such time, Aditya represented various corporations, private equity firms, venture capital firms and start-ups across London, Netherlands, Dubai and the United States, on a wide range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, multi-tier investments, regulatory compliance projects and legal due diligences. In India, he received a combined B.A./LL.B. degree from National Law Institute University, Bhopal (equivalent to a J.D.), where he graduated with honors and held the post of Convenor of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Cell. He represented NLIU at the 16th William C. Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition wherein the team was adjudged as the World ‘Semi-Finalist’ and he was adjudged as the Fourth Best Oralist of the Tournament & awarded Honorable Mention for the same. Furthermore, the team was adjudged as the 'Winners' of the world's biggest pre-moot, the AIAC - ICC International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Vis Pre Moot, held in Kuala Lumpur and he was awarded the Cecil Abraham & Partners Award for being the Best Oralist. He is also an amateur filmmaker and photographer with some of his work being shared on Instagram under the handle @Yours_Pixelately_Wadhwa
