I was 21 when I left home to go to the mountains. Not metaphorically - I climbed for 12 days to reach 16,800 ft during the snowy winters of 2019 in the Himalayas. While I was hiking, I thought about quitting approximately 200 times - a lowball estimate. But despite the high winds, low altitude, fatigue and trail mix overdose, I kept going - I’m that person.
