Adaelizabeth Guerrero is a Venezuelan Attorney, graduated from Universidad Santa María in 2010. Her postgraduate education includes a Specialization in Labor Law from Universidad Santa María and a postgraduate degree in Maritime Law from Universidad Marítima del Caribe. Additionally, she holds a Specialization in Customs and Foreign Trade (ENAHP), as well as Diplomas in International Relations and Diplomacy, International Trade (UNIMET), Foreign Trade – Customs (UCV), and Civil Procedure (Universidad José Antonio Páez). Professionally, she currently focuses on Corporate Immigration in the U.S., serving as a Paralegal at US Visa Latam. She also has legal experience in the hydrocarbon sector, having worked in the Legal Departments of Petrocedeño, S.A. and Petrojunin, S.A. Adaelizabeth is the author of legal essays and specialized publications on maritime law, arbitration, offshore exploration, and the energy sector. Her work has been featured in the CIFILE Journal of International Law and the Revista Venezolana de Derecho Marítimo. She is the founder of Energy Maritime, Law Firm, and collaborates with the student team of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) at Universidad de Oriente. She is a member of the Venezuelan Association of Maritime Law (AVDM), the Young Lawyers Working Group, and the working groups on "Offshore Exploration and Maritime Transport of Hydrocarbons" and "Esequibo." Additionally, she is a member of the Venezuelan Arbitration Association, the Venezuelan Society of Commercial Law, and the Latin American Arbitration Association (ALARB). In academia, she has served as Director of Hydrocarbon Studies at Women in Energy Venezuela (WIN) and as Academic Coordinator of Diplomas and Webinars on Hydrocarbons and Maritime Law at Universidad Metropolitana. She also collaborates with the Canadian Institute for International Law Expertise (CIFILE). In June 2022, Adaelizabeth represented Venezuela in the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on “Environmental Resilience, Protection, and Conservation.” She is bilingual in Spanish and English.
