I’m the founder of Socratic Academy, an independent research institute focused on mentoring high school students and undergraduates to think, work, and create like real scientists. I hold a Ph.D. in Physics from Duke University, with research spanning computational neuroscience, deep learning, and systems medicine. I’ve worked as a deep learning data scientist in industry and previously built AI-driven systems at UCSD School of Medicine. At Socratic Academy our goal is to help students develop genuine research ability and intellectual depth. We work with students on: • Independent research projects, often leading to publications or competition-level work • AI, computational biology, and robotics bootcamps • Olympiad and advanced STEM preparation • Long-term academic and research strategy Most students are capable of much more than what standard curricula demand, but lack the structure, mentorship, and direction to explore deeply.
