About this session
Thinking about getting into UX/Product Design but don't know where to begin?
Maybe you're from engineering, development, architecture, business, or a completely different background. Maybe you've watched a hundred UX videos and somehow feel even more confused.
Being transitioned myself from Engineering to Design, we'll make the journey simpler and more realistic.
We'll talk about:
- What UX/Product Design actually involves
- Different career paths within design
- Which skills you really need to learn
- How to build your first projects
- Figma vs. actual design thinking
- Creating a portfolio from scratch
- Getting your first internship/job
- Whether a design course or bootcamp is worth it
- How to stand out without years of experience
You don't need a design background to start. You just need a direction.
