About me

Hello and Namaste! I am Abhishek, an Economics enthusiast and avid learner of science and technology. Born and raised in the small town of Rajbiraj, Nepal, I moved to Kathmandu at the age of 9 and completed my schooling at Budhanilkantha School. I earned my Bachelor's in Economics from Christ University, Bangalore, where I discovered my passion for the subject. I then pursued an M.A. in Economics from South Asian University, New Delhi. Currently, I am assisting the Bihar Government and the Ministry of Rural Development in scaling up the Graduation Approach project, which aims to lift ultra-poor households out of poverty. My responsibilities include quantitative and qualitative data analysis, impact evaluation (RCT), and project/process monitoring and evaluation. My journey from Nepal to India for higher studies and into the Indian job market revealed a lack of resources for individuals, both Nepalese and Indians, aspiring to start careers in Research and Public Policy. This realization brought me here, where I aim to guide others in advancing their careers, preparing for interviews, building social capital, finding suitable jobs, and more. Areas of Interest: Political Economy and Governance, Development Economics, Applied Microeconomics, Econometrics
