About me
Hi, I’m Abhinav — a semiconductor process engineer at Intel with a Ph.D. in Materials Science and a deep-rooted passion for solar energy. At Intel, I lead CMP process development and automation projects that have boosted fab output, reduced defects, and improved tool availability across multiple technology nodes (Intel 4, 3, 20A, 18A).
Before Intel, I spent years researching advanced materials for solar applications. My doctoral work focused on III-V semiconductors like GaInP and AlInP, where I developed new methods to passivate defects and boost carrier lifetimes, achieving a 90-fold increase in photoluminescence. I've also analyzed grain boundary recombination in CdTe and CIGS thin films and worked on device modeling using Poisson’s equations.
I thrive at the intersection of materials science, clean energy, and scalable innovation—and I love helping others tackle tough problems in these areas. Whether you’re building solar tech, working on semiconductors, or looking to automate your process flow, I’m here to help.
