“What can you do, when you know it?” Travelling has proved to be one of the best teachers of my life. I have successfully acquired my diving licence in Indonesia from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, during a rigorous two-week programme. I was also engaged in an exchange program in the UK FOR some time. The strenuous month-long National Cadet Corps camp where I, worked with more than 400 cadets, helped in teaching people how to compost their waste and tell them about its various uses. We were also taught about our duties in the case of any natural disaster in the country. In addition, I volunteered in a local N.G.O. for the summer, teaching large classes of kids various subjects for 180 hours a month and also talking to them about this world that is waiting for them. At the start of the same academic year, I was instrumental in setting up the school’s N.G.O., which has been hugely successful in hosting two annual cancer fundraising events. Arguing gave me the push in the inter-house debates in school and also in many regional debates where I got the best and the most promising speaker . There was this one instance when I took part in stand-up, trying to make them laugh at my jokes. They certainly did and so did the judges, who gave me the award. Swimming has been one of the best remedies for me, for as long as I can remember. My father enrolled me in swimming for survival reasons, but I fell in love with the sport and have won several trophies, including one regional competition for the freestyle category.
