A beginner-friendly, hands-on course to help you learn UX fundamentals, Figma basics, and prototyping — while also touching upon user research methods like personas, empathy mapping, and journey mapping.
By the end of the sessions, you’ll design and present your own clickable prototype — a perfect starter for your design portfolio.
Session 1 – UX & Figma Basics
Introduction to UX & UI, overview of Figma interface, basic shapes, frames, and tools.
Exercise: Recreate a simple app screen.
Session 2 – Understanding Users
Introduction to UX Research, creating personas and empathy maps.
Exercise: Build a sample persona + empathy map.
Session 3 – User Stories & Journey Mapping
Writing user stories and mapping a basic app journey (like a food delivery flow).
Session 4 – Wireframing
Low-fidelity vs high-fidelity wireframes.
Exercise: Wireframe a 2-screen flow in Figma.
Session 5 – UI Design Fundamentals
Color, typography, and layout basics.
Exercise: Apply styles and build a clean, consistent design.
Session 6 – Prototyping in Figma
Learn to link screens, add interactions, and create simple transitions.
Session 7 – Usability Testing & Iteration
Testing your prototype, gathering feedback, and refining your design.
Session 8 – Portfolio & Wrap-up
