About me

I love to be a part of something bigger than myself - a company with a mission, a team with a purpose, or an institute with a calling. Hi, I'm Abbhinav, the founder of 123ofAI and podcast host/creator of Tech My Breath Away. We're in the space of solving the skill gap in the AI/ML space and meeting the high demand for skilled practitioners. I am a person with an ownership mentality who likes to take it upon myself to get the job done, no matter the roadblocks. Previously, I was an ML Engineer at SunMall Inc., an early-stage Silicon Valley startup that works in the furniture e-commerce space, with an exciting team from MIT, IIT, and Stanford. This is the second startup I've been a part of, with the first one - Uplara, being in the Virtual Clothing Tryon space. Along with being an ML researcher who built their proprietary 2d virtual tryon algorithm, I had the opportunity to gain visibility on how businesses work and was a key part of decision-making related to customer acquisition, hiring, business strategy, positioning, marketing, etc. I was a part of the top 3% of my batch during my undergraduate and master's degree in Computer Science from IIIT-Hyderabad. My MS thesis at the Centre for Vision Information Technology (CVIT), was on Monocular 3D Human Body Reconstruction, with top-tier publications in BMVC, ICCV, and ACCV (Oral). During my MS, I have had the privilege to give talks at the Max Plank Institute (MPI-Inf), Stanford University, and ICVGIP. My MS was sponsored by the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship (QIF). Further, I was a part of the Geometric Processing Lab at Stanford as a Visiting Researcher. I worked with Prof. Leo Guibas and Prof. Srinath Sridhar on Modelling Real World Dynamics from Images, where I developed a synthetic physics dataset and multiple models to perform system identification. Outside of work, I have a passion for fitness, finance, and poetry, and see myself running a successful business. Please feel free to get in touch with me to discuss anything from computers to finance!
