About me
I am a Sr. Vendor Manager at Amazon owning the P&L for Amazon US' $2.5B OTC Health category. I joined as part of Amazon’s Retail Leadership Development Program. I was an MBA candidate at Columbia Business School in New York prior to that. I am based out of New York.
I am from New Delhi but spent the past 11 years in various parts of India and the US. I am an engineer by training and started my professional journey in B2B sales at Philips, where I formulated and executed on a $2.5M business roadmap for a previously underperforming sales territory, supervising a team of 15 people and managing relationships with 10+ high-value accounts.
After spending 3 years at Philips, I joined the Young India Fellowship (YIF), a one-year Liberal Arts program delivered in partnerships with UPenn, Yale and a few others, to broaden my skill set. By working on a year-long education program in rural India as a part of YIF, I learned about the challenges and opportunities in Indian education, and got particularly interested in the role of private sector in it.
This brought me to FSG, a Boston based impact consulting firm that focusses on market-based solutions for social change. Here, I was the Chief of Staff to the MD and a Program Associate for FSG’s $16M initiative to improve quality of education in the 300K private schools in India.
