About me

Hey there! I'm Aakash, an Assistant Professor of English and a passionate teacher of English Literature at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. My journey with literature has been shaped by both academic study and lived experience. After qualifying the UGC NET (English) in December 2024, I understood the exam from the inside-the confusion, the endless resources, the guesswork, and the guidance that's often missing. That experience motivated me to mentor students in a way I wish I had been guided myself. Alongside teaching, I run a literature-focused community on Instagram and YouTube under @Aakash.readss, where I share insights on literature, literary theory, exam preparation, books, and academic life. Through my one-on-one sessions, I mentor students preparing for UGC NET English and CUET PG, guide aspiring Assistant Professors through different stages of their academic journey, and offer thoughtful manuscript feedback for writers. My approach is simple: to provide clear, honest, and structured guidance that helps students build confidence, think critically, and move forward with clarity rather than guesswork. If you're looking for dedicated mentorship, a deeper understanding of literature, or support in achieving your academic goals, I'd be glad to be a part of your journey.
