About me

Feelings aren't facts. So it's imperative we put in the work to be impactful. With over 18 years of experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion - most recently as a Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) - I am a seasoned professional dedicated to making talent acquisition an equitable program, fostering inclusive workplace environments, and implementing impactful DEI initiatives. My track record of championing diversity and equity has been previously recognized by prestigious organizations like Untapped, Los Angeles Business Journal, Harvard Business Review's Advisory Council and Braverly. As a founding member of Hacking HR's Experts Council, I bring innovative and holistic recruitment strategies to the table. My expertise is creating and advising Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), analyzing DEI and talent acquisition data, and implementing company-wide training programs. Results of this expertise include 8% increase in engagement scores, 10% increase in candidate satisfaction, and a record 90% internal engagement score for DEI. I have successfully represented organizations as the DEI Council Chair for Graham Holdings, led employer branding efforts, and engaged in public forums to promote diversity initiatives. My background in talent acquisition, internal communication, and learning & development equips me to oversee comprehensive DEI programs, Talent Management Departments, and Workplace Culture efforts. Additionally, I have a rich background in the arts, including playwriting, screenwriting, and fiction, showcasing my creativity and communication skills. With an MFA in Theater from Sarah Lawrence College and a bachelor's degree in Writing and Cultural Studies from New School University, I bring a unique perspective to the workplace, combining creativity with strategic expertise. My mission lies in embedding DEI efforts into operations and cultivating resilient and thriving workplace communities where diversity and inclusion are not just buzzwords but are integral to the organization's success.
