Saimadhu Polamuri is a self-taught data scientist, having a post-graduate degree in artificial intelligence and machine learning from the University of Texas and a bachelor’s degree from IIIT (computer science). He enjoys diving deep into data, doing analysis, discovering root causes, and designing long-term solutions for various business problems. In 10+ years of experience including building various credit risk models, driver risk models. Worked mainly in building statistical and machine learning models for finance and energy domains. Having experience in build end to end IoT and machine learning solutions to quantify various driver’s risk patterns. He also runs the data science portal (dataaspirant.com) to guide data Science beginners in various data science topics. Major Responsibilities: • Experience in leveraging multiple data science methodologies to solve complex business problems in the finance and energy domain. • Experience in owning the complete project plan and providing leadership to a team of data scientists. • Experience in partnered with product managers and software engineers to define data and product instrumentation requirements to build the necessary tooling required to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality data models. • Experience in stakeholder's direct contact to gather the requirements of the project and estimate the delivery of machine learning models. • Build and maintained various product and engineering dashboards to inform the team about the state of the business, as well as to alert stakeholders. • Guide the team in formulating the problem, reviewing modeling techniques and processes, and model building Technology skills : • 10+ years of industry experience in building machine learning models. • Expert fluency in using Python along with using any python packages to get the things done. • Experience in using the AWS full machine learning and data engineering stack which includes the EC2, S3, Athena, Glue, Sagemaker. • Knowledge and experience in writing SQL and NoSql query to collect data. • Familiarity with using data visualization tools like Tableau, seaborn.
