This 1:1 session is designed to support the adults working closely with children who need additional emotional, behavioural, or learning support in school environments.
Shadow teachers and inclusion assistants often navigate complex situations involving behaviour, classroom expectations, communication with teachers, and supporting a child’s emotional regulation. This session offers a reflective space to explore these challenges and develop practical strategies.
In this session we may discuss:
• Understanding behaviour beyond labels
• Emotional regulation and co-regulation strategies
• Supporting neurodivergent learners in classroom settings
• Building effective collaboration with teachers and parents
• Setting healthy professional boundaries in support roles
Parents seeking guidance on how to work with shadow teachers or support inclusion in school settings are also welcome.
The goal is to strengthen the environment around the child so they can feel supported, understood, and able to participate more fully in learning.
Led by a Counselling Psychologist (MSc) and CID–UNESCO Expressive Arts Therapist.
