Most professors tell their students to create a LinkedIn profile and to “network with professionals”, but never teach them how to do it. That's where I come in. MY STORY: Hi! My name is Austin Henline. In 2017, I created a LinkedIn profile because my professors told me to. The only advice I was given was to "network with professionals and build a personal brand." Other than that, I was left completely on my own. I quickly became discouraged and didn't touch the platform for a year and half. When the time came to apply for jobs, it was too late. Every company asked for my LinkedIn profile and I was rejected by 100% of the companies I applied to. LINKEDIN ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Since then, I have spent hundreds of hours researching LinkedIn best practices and experimenting on my own. As a result of my LinkedIn efforts, I have: ✅ Delivered a TEDx talk on LinkedIn strategies for college students ✅ Personally optimized 1300+ LinkedIn profiles and helped individuals to land jobs at their dream companies, receive increased messages from recruiters, and establish their personal brands ✅ Received over 280 job offers from recruiters on LinkedIn ✅ Held 385 informational interviews with professionals on LinkedIn ✅ Trained universities, campus clubs, career advisors, businesses, and non-profits on a global scale ✅ Secured 6 internships, including a Global Sales Internship at LinkedIn ✅ Created content that has been seen by millions of students and executives around the world ✅ Learned the ins and outs of LinkedIn Recruiter by working as an executive recruiter I wasn't always interested in business. In fact, for the majority of my life, I wanted to be an ornithologist (bird zoologist). At one point, I could identify every bird in the US by sight, and every bird in Utah by sight and sound.
